Quick note

This is a general list, and not everything here may apply to your home. If you’re ever unsure, always check with your agent. And if that’s me, you know you can call or text me anytime! I’m here to help.

Here’s what you can do to get photo-ready:

1. Consider a Professional Cleaning

This is one of the smartest investments you can make. A professional crew will catch all the little things we sometimes miss — dusty baseboards, streaky windows, smudges on stainless steel — and give your home that extra sparkle that really pops in photos.

2. Declutter Like a Pro

Clear off countertops, nightstands, and bathroom vanities. Stash personal items like mail, remotes, and chargers. Less really is more here — clean, open spaces let buyers focus on the home, not the stuff inside it.

3. Let the Light In

Natural light is your secret weapon! Open all curtains and blinds, and make sure light bulbs are working and bright. Bright, airy spaces always photograph best.

4. Fluff, Straighten, and Smooth

Give pillows and cushions a fluff, smooth out bedding, and straighten throw blankets. These little touches make spaces feel polished and inviting.

5. Clean & Polish Surfaces

Even after a professional clean, a quick final wipe-down doesn’t hurt. Focus on shiny surfaces like counters, mirrors, appliances, and glass. Clean windows and floors make everything feel fresher on camera.

6. Hide the Pets (Just for the Shoot!)

You know I love my dogs!! BUT pet beds, bowls, and toys should be tucked away for photos. Not all buyers are pet owners, and we want to keep the spotlight on your home.

7. Style Simply

A few thoughtful touches can go a long way. Try a bowl of fresh lemons on the counter, a simple vase of flowers, or neatly folded towels in the bathroom. Think warm and inviting, but not cluttered.

8. Tidy Up the Yard

First impressions start outside! Sweep patios, clean up outdoor furniture, clear pathways, and make sure the landscaping looks neat. A tidy yard sets the tone for the whole showing.

9. Take Out the Trash

It’s quick, easy, and makes a difference. Empty all trash bins throughout the home to keep everything feeling clean and fresh.

10. Move Cars Out of Sight

If you can, park cars away from the driveway or front of the house. Open spaces in exterior shots help buyers focus on your home, not the vehicles.

11. Final Walk-Through

Do one last pass right before the photographer arrives. Straighten anything that looks out of place, take a deep breath, and get excited — your home is about to look its absolute best!

Pro Tip:

Don’t stress about perfection. We’re aiming for bright, clean, and welcoming — not magazine-perfect. And remember, you’re never in this alone! If you’re unsure about anything or want a second opinion, always reach out to your agent. If I’m your agent, you can call or text me anytime! I’m here to make this process smooth and stress-free.
